Hi everyone! I am thrilled to be a speaker this year at GCUC Canada!
I am a Communications Specialist, Art Historian, and Community Builder. I place tremendous value on cultural development and fostering community building through authentic human connection.
My experience in co-managing a coworking space as Director of Community & Culture consisted of cultivating a large, diverse community of members from various industries and backgrounds, with a social impact lens. This came to life through programming, policy, events, workshops, collaboration, partnerships, marketing, and creative direction. Regardless of the institution I work or have worked for– whether public, private; non-profit, for-profit; small-scale, large-scale– I have ALWAYS maintained diverse and inclusive practices, which has always led to the betterment of the individuals that make up the organizations.
What differentiates a coworking space from an office space is its community. Regardless of its size or your coworking spaces’ mission, maintaining your community through diverse and inclusive practices should be a priority for you; so, let’s talk about how we can go about that in a positive way!
