Tara Everett


Coworking since before colonization.

As one of the first voices of the Indigenous coworking movement, Tara Everett has been nurturing the Canoe Coworking community since 2017 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

An Anishinaabe kwe (Indigenous Woman) she identifies as a 60’s scoop survivor, First Nations and is Two-Spirit. This led Tara to developing a framework of inclusion and diversity at the core of her coworking space, training and speaking engagements.

Tara has represented coworking internationally in London,UK, the United States and Canada. Her background in policy, program and economic development as a women who faces barriers has led Tara to countless positions on boards, advisory panels and most recently as a Canadian Delegate at the United Nations CoPD Convention.

Through her work Tara engages and advocates for diversity, inclusion and socio-economic changes.
