David Kinnaird, the President of essensys, Inc, is a respected leader in the flexible workspace industry. He joined essensys in late 2015, leading their entry and subsequent rapid expansion from the UK into the U.S market. Prior to this, David had spent 10 years with Avanta as Operations Director, growing the business from 4 centers in 2005 to over 40 in 2013. The business was finally sold to Regus last year. Before this he worked as IT director at MWB Business Exchange (also sold to Regus) and at British Telecom (not sold to Regus). Before all of this – he spent 15 years in the British Army defending the Queen from her enemies, finally retiring as a Major in 2002. He has one good war story!

David served as chair of the Business Center Association Conference for 3 years and is a board member of the Global Workspace Association in the US. David has become well-renowned in the flexible workspace community throughout the US and the UK, establishing broad connections and tight-knit relationships with industry peers, thought leaders and influencers.
