I am the co-founder and Managing Director of the boutique serviced office provider, Office Space in Town. After leaving Northampton High School for Girls in 1987, I took a one-year year secretarial course in Oxford and won an internship to work in New York for a year with Hoare Govett, Stockbrokers. After that, I went into the family firm, OTSS, to learn the ropes of running a serviced offices business. The family firm was then called City Executive Centres and I gradually worked my way through the company finally taking the role as MD when I was 24 due to the retirement of my parents, the sudden death of our FD and the current MD leaving and going to work for one of the company’s clients. I set about rationalising the portfolio and raising finance to expand the business. In 2001 Quintain Estates invested in City Executive Centres with a view to buy buildings to run as serviced offices and we subsequently sold the company to MWB plc. I then set up an online commercial brokerage called Offices Please Ltd which I ran until my brother and I returned to open Office Space in Town in 2009. Giles and I found an investor to back the idea of buying central London buildings, developing and turning them into serviced offices. This business is recognised as both a market leader and innovator with a brand value of circa £200m
