The 4th annual\u00a0Global Coworking Unconference Conference<\/a>\u00a0(GCUC, pronounced \u201cjuicy\u201d) is coming to Kansas City for its first traveling year. The conference is the largest global gathering of coworking space owners and operators and we are excited to welcome them to our booming entrepreneurial ecosystem!<\/p>\n

How it happened<\/h2>\n

In the summer of 2013, the KC coworking and hacker space community rallied in partnership with the Convention and Visitor\u2019s Bureau, the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City and the City of Kansas City, Missouri to respond to an RFP to bring GCUC to bring the conference here in 2014. Mayor Sly James wrote a letter to the organizers (which probably helped us tremendously!)<\/p>\n

But I don\u2019t want to leave out mentioned our greatest asset, the people of Kansas City. Our City is known as the \u201cSilicon Prairie\u201d because we have some the best and brightest talent in the country. And, our Midwestern hospitality continues to charm our first time visitors.
