A few weeks ago, we here at GCUC UK<\/a> supported an event at Huckletree West<\/a> in London on diversity, inclusion and accessibility in coworking spaces.<\/p>\n While there, we captured coworking insiders sharing their thoughts on coworking and community.<\/p>\n Coworking has been around for a while now, but in the last five years, it has exploded.<\/p>\n But what makes a successful coworking space?<\/a><\/p>\n The core feeling is that there is a difference between a workspace and coworking space.<\/p>\n That will sound like semantics to some, but there\u2019s a strong feeling that people need more than just an office and a chair to do their best work.<\/p>\n Collaboration, community, openness, sustainability and accessibility are the coworking values<\/a> that early champions of the coworking movement decided on together.<\/p>\n As our industry grows and moves in different directions, it seems that these values are still true for people, whether they know about them as a \u201ccoworking value\u201d or not.<\/p>\n Furthermore, this sense of community and collaboration works in an independant, uber cool space in Hackney or more prominent business space<\/a> in the city.<\/p>\n Check out the video and let us know what you think: What makes a successful coworking space?
