Who's Coming

Joseph Kent began his career in coworking as a Community Manager in 2017 where he opened The Port Workspaces City Center at 555 12th Street in Oakland California. In 2018 Joseph took on the position of Facilities and Technology Director for the company. From 2018 until 2021 Joseph managed the facilities of The Ports four Oakland locations: One 24,000 sq ft Class A high rise space, a 60,000 sq ft 1960s shopping mall, a former hotel frequented by Jack London, and a former broom factory. These four very different locations have provided various challenges to the role, but have also allowed The Port Workspaces to accommodate a wide variety of its members office needs. Joseph has extensive experience with purchasing, assembling, customizing and maintaining phone booths and has an interesting story for each one.
