About GCUC

GCUC (pronounced “juicy”) is the largest coworking conference series in the world.

Since 2012, GCUC has brought together more than 8,500 coworking game-changers from around the globe. We’ve hosted 32-plus international conferences and are experiencing unparalleled growth—just like coworking itself.

Origin & Growth

In 2012, GCUC founder Liz Elam made a bold move and invited some visionaries, including Adam Newman of WeWork, Benjamin Dyett of GRIND and Iris Kavanaugh of Nextspace, to a meetup in Austin, Texas to hash out some ideas on a stage adjacent to SXSW.

How did a tiny SXSW meetup become a global force in just a few years? By providing resources, connections and a-ha moments across coworking, real estate, flexspace and the quickly-growing hybrid workspace model.

The GCUC Conference Experience

The GCUC experience is three exhilarating days full of information, inspiration, connecting, programming, meals, deals and a partner showcase.

GCUC attracts a diverse group of people who travel from around the world to attend. We often hear feedback that GCUC is unlike any other conference our attendees have experienced. Our secret recipe works its magic on corporate executives, entrepreneurs, designers, coworking space owners, flex operators and consultants, CRE visionaries, niche space operators and industry enthusiasts who converge to talk about ideas and insights—big and small—as we build the future of work together.

The GCUC Community Experience

When the conference is over the fun and community doesn’t disappear. We created the GCUC Community membership to help you to stay connected with your peers, access resources, and secure deals and discounts with our partners. We give you the playbook you need to run a successful space and build a thriving community of your own. You don’t need to recreate the wheel.
