Karina Chez is the Founder and CEO of Chez Space, the first coworking space in the Dominican Republic, Managing Director of KAYA Energy Group, a renewable energy firm, and Chairwoman of Empresas MGK SRL., a real estate family office. She is the founding president of ASOFER, the country’s renewable energy association, co-founder of TheSheLab and Futura Fund (LABS) in Silicon Valley, and Startup Grind Country Director. She is Board Member to various firms including EO (Entrepreneur’s Organizations), Chamber of Technology and Girls in Tech.
She spends a lot of her time as a mentor to start ups, is a sought-after international speaker on topics ranging from renewable energy to entrepreneurship and consultant in the areas of finance, business strategy, and sustainability. She’s lived and worked extensively in Egypt, Jordan, New York, Canada, London, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates, the latter where she founded the digital marketing firm Chess Group.
Karina has an MBA from Pace University and an MIA from Columbia University.
