Coworking industry’s premier conference series returns to New York City for landmark event, embodying the collaborative spirit that defines flexible workspace movement
The Global Coworking Unconference Community (GCUC), the world’s largest coworking conference series, announces that its milestone 50th conference will take place April 13-16, 2026, in New York City. The landmark event will be hosted at Jay Suites Conference Center through a generous venue partnership that perfectly exemplifies the community-first collaboration at the heart of the coworking movement.
The partnership with Jay Suites emerged organically when founders Juda and Jack attended their first GCUC conference and were captivated by the community’s energy and programming. Inspired by what they experienced, they extended an invitation for GCUC to host in their Manhattan venue.
“Reaching our 50th conference is an incredible milestone, and returning to New York City—an epicenter of innovation and collaboration makes it even more special,” said Stormy McBride, Director of Operations at GCUC. “Juda and Jack’s generosity in welcoming us into their space perfectly captures the spirit that has driven our growth from a small meet up to a truly global community”
GCUC NYC 2026 marks not only the organization’s 50th conference but also its fifth return to New York City, underscoring the city’s significance as a hub for flexible workspace innovation. Since launching in 2010, GCUC has evolved from a grassroots unconference into the industry’s premier gathering, bringing together thousands of coworking operators, service providers, real estate professionals, and corporate innovators worldwide.
The four-day conference will feature GCUC’s signature interactive programming designed to spark innovation and forge lasting professional relationships:
Immersive Programming: Opening with a welcome reception featuring Manhattan skyline views, the conference offers interactive keynotes, expert panels, and peer-to-peer roundtables across three specialized tracks: Community & Culture, Real Estate & Design, and Tech & Operations.
Wellness & Networking: Morning wellness sessions, happy hours in the early afternoons, and evening networking and fun throughout the city, can be expected.
Innovation Showcase: An expo hall featuring the latest solutions from industry partners, and service providers plus guided tours of NYC coworking spaces showcasing how operators are redefining flexible work.
At its core, GCUC champions interactive programming that combats workplace isolation through shared learning, mental health advocacy, and inclusive community building. By uniting diverse stakeholders across the flexible workspace ecosystem, the conference continues to shape the future of work through meaningful connections and collaborative innovation.
The conference’s unconference format encourages attendee-driven discussions and peer-to-peer learning, fostering the organic relationships that have become GCUC’s hallmark since its inception.
