Community of Cultivators

Here at GCUC we are immensely fortunate to cross paths and work with so many amazing people. Through our work, we’ve cultivated a global community of people we think you should know about. Community of Cultivators is a blog series we created to introduce you to coworking game changers and connectors. Each month, we’ll release new interviews that we hope inform and inspire you.

This week we had the pleasure of chatting with Chris Davies, Founder of Uncommon. His space spaces are nothing short of stunning- winners of 2019 best coworking space design in the GCUC UK coworking awards. Anywho, give his answers below a read. They are short, sweet and to the point.

What in your life are you most proud of cultivating or creating? Why?

Uncommon has developed into an amazing business and given me a lot of lessons along the way!

Where do you personally feel the most sense of community?

The Gym probably or around any BBQ.

What podcast would you recommend to others and why?

I tend to read books rather than podcast – current is The personal MBA and Shoe Dog (About Nike).

If you had $500 to spend- what would you buy?

Boring answer – Shares. Actual – flights somewhere out of lockdown!

What advice would you give to someone thinking of becoming an entrepreneur?

Research and then do some more – does this make sense or not?

What is the best habit you ever started? What habit do you want to start but haven’t yet?

Get up early and exercise – only way to guarantee a good day. Best way to get your head in a good place.

If you had to put a quote on your gravestone what would it be?

Diabolus fecit, ut id facerem or ex nihilo nihil fit (both are on my Parachute).
