Community of Cultivators

Here at GCUC we are immensely fortunate to cross paths and work with so many amazing people. Through our work, we’ve cultivated a global community of people we think you should know about.

Community of Cultivators is a blog series we created to introduce you to coworking game changers and connectors. Each month, we’ll release new interviews that we hope inform and inspire you.

Photo of Benjamin DyettBenjamin Dyett is one of the Industry’s OGs. He is the Co-Founder and former Co-President of Grind, an early premium entrant in the coworking industry that grew to five locations.

Throughout his career, Benjamin has founded, funded, operated, and advised many successful start-ups. As a lawyer, he has deep experience in real estate and corporate law. He has represented financial institutions and many prominent businesspeople.

Benjamin is currently a partner in the Deco group, a coworking consultancy firm. When hes not working you can find him behind the grill or on a sailboat. Give his answers a read…

What in your life are you most proud of cultivating or creating?

Other than my daughter, Grind – my former coworking operation. Why? Because we created a smart brand with strong values that powered an amazing community of entrepreneurs.

What podcast would you recommend to others and why?

“Stuff you missed in history class” because if we do not understand and learn from history we are bound to repeat it – and because the two hosts are incredible researchers and amazingly entertaining women.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of becoming an entrepreneur?

Seek and stay open to advice from experienced people you can trust.

If you had to put a quote on your gravestone what would it be?

FINALLY, I found a place to park.
