After starting Fora 8 years ago, Enrico Sanna thrived as Chief Executive Officer, maintaining one of the biggest and most successful flex office spaces in Europe.

It wasn’t until recently when he decided to step down and take a different role, giving the business a fresh start and a different energy. Let’s dive into this podcast episode together, as our host Liz Elam and guest Enrico Sanna share inspiring stories of perseverance and transformation.

“I’m still as passionate, I’m still involved,” he said. “It was purely just wanting someone else to do the day-to-day.”

Enrico always saw himself as an entrepreneur and after attending the GCUC conference near San Francisco in 2015, he realized what the coworking industry meant for the future of office spaces. After becoming inspired to be more involved, Enrico founded Fora in London with a clear vision – to create a space where like-minded individuals could come together, share their ideas, and learn from each other’s experiences.

In this episode, Enrico discusses the changing nature of work, highlighting the shift from traditional offices to more flexible, collaborative spaces.

“Throughout the pandemic, even being around my loved ones, I felt lonely,” he said. “Being back since then, my energy comes from being around people.”

Describing London as one of the most diverse workplaces in the world, Enrico expressed his excitement for new ideas and innovation to come to play for the benefit of everyone, post-pandemic.

“The workplace has a fundamental role in mental health and society,” Enrico said. “Coworking is the best version of a workplace.”

Our host, Liz, also made sure to share with listeners how Fora has emphasized wellness since the beginning. The concept of “wellness in the workplace” runs heavy at Fora, making sure to prioritize creating an environment that fosters connection and collaboration. Enrico shared the idea that Fora comes from a place where they are a consumer business who listens to their customers.

“If you hire the right people and you listen to your customers,” Enrico said. “Only good things can come from it.”

The importance of prioritizing mental health in the workplace, highlighting the impact of isolation and loneliness on our well-being is a hot topic on this week’s episode. Tune in for Enrico’s perspective and how Fora has become a hub for wellness in the workplace.

Since we know you’ll be joining us in October for GCUC London, keep Fora in mind for anytime you may want a wellness break!
