Mental Health Awareness week starts today. It’s time that we focus on ourselves and learn to listen to our bodies. Are you tired, burnt out, overwhelmed? It’s time you take that into consideration. In this day and age we are constantly bombarded with information- real time, constantly, and expected to process it, real time, constantly. To be honest, our bodies and brains are not built for that.
This week is integral in not only bringing awareness to others mental struggles and the stigma attached to the words “mental illness” but it also in giving ourselves permission to be introspective and consider our own wellbeing.
We challenge you to take 15 minutes each day this week to do something mindful that will contribute to a better state of wellbeing in yourself or another. This can be as simple as a hot cup of coffee in silence, a short minute meditation on your lunch break or writing a note to a friend that’s been on your mind. Mental health and wellbeing does not have to start with large earch shattering actions.
This week our team pledges to:
What are you going to do this week?
