2023 GCUC Conference Recap

A week ago, we hosted GCUC UK, the last of our global conference series for 2023.

After completing four conferences, in four countries in the last eight months, we are ready to embrace the holiday slow down. But for now we cant help but reflect on what an amazing year its been.

Most recently, GCUC UK in London was a sell out. The room was full of both industry vets and new faces. The latest addition to the GCUC Global team, UK Producer, Emilie Lashmar did a stellar job at helping evolve the look and feel of the UK based program. This years event came with a new addition of rountables and small workshops. Recaps and photos for that event are still circulating. If you missed out on this one, don’t fret, we have big things on the horizon for the UK market.

Taking us back to September, we hosted GCUC Canada in Toronto for the first time since pre pandemic. With a partnership with IQ offices we hosted our boutique event for deep connections. Two full days of intimate sessions, cheeky conversations and beautiful space tours.

In August, the team headed to Sydney for GCUC Australia. Having not hosted in APAC since 2018, GCUC was met with open arms. Through a partnership with the Flexible workspace association and ISPT, we were able to host over 200 industry leaders and have some radical discussions. Again, a solid two day program with sessions, networking, breaking bread and space walkthroughs.

Last but not least, the conference that kicked off the 2023 GCUC Conference season, GCUC North America in Chicago. The longest of our programs at three days, arguably one of the best events we have ever produced (attendee feedback but also our sentiment). GCUC Chicago felt different. The room was full. The attendees were not only from far and wide but represented businesses of varying stages and sizes. The after hours events were debatably just as good as the stage sessions and tours sold out.

This year was fast and full of connections. Lots of travel and even better community. Several late nights, flight delays and deep conversations. Internally we have met about these events (and this cadence) and while we will likely not host the same four events next year, we have some amazing things on the horizon.

By the end of this month, we will release the details for GCUC North America and by the end of the year you can expect a road map (literally) for where you will be able to find a GCUC event next year.
